Angry Residents of Kidodo cell in Kasese Municipality staged a peaceful demonstration over what they call the shocking move by the police to release a suspected child trafficker.
Along with their local leaders, hundreds of Kidodo cell residents went to the Kasese RDC to demand that police re-arrest Ms. Morian Mbambu, who is suspected of abducting two-year-old Kismart Mumbere.

The father to the missing baby, Mr. Godfrey Bwambale 20 and leader for the strike Mr. Bashiru Bwambale, could not believe that police could release the suspect after a making a statement yet the affected parents had allegedly paid 150.0000 shillings for tracking her.
The Kasese Deputy RDC in charge of Busongora County, Mr. Zepher Mubingwa, hailed the demonstrators for being peaceful, adding that all was being done to have the suspect re-arrested now that the errant police officer has been placed at the center of the re-arrest mission.

Kasese Municipal Mayor, His worship Chance Kahindo called for immediate detention of the Police officer whom he compels to explain circumstances under which he released the suspect who had just handed herself to the forces after 4 days of manhunt.
