The North Ankole Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Alfred Muhoozi, has exhorted couples and young people who plan to be married to always be ready early on, stick with their marriage, and never forget to put their faith in God for a long-lasting partnership.
Bishop Alfred made these remarks while giving a sermon at Ruth Asiimwe’s giveaway ceremony (kuhingira) on Saturday at Makobore High School, Kinyasano Ward, Western Division in Rukungiri municipality.
Ruth Asiimwe is the daughter of Bishop Onesimus and Florence Asiimwe of North Kigezi Diocese.
Because they were both born and nurtured in homes that feared God, Bishop Muhoozi urged Bruce Mugisha and his wife Ruth Ariho Asiimwe to create a marriage that exalts God and shows respect for one another.
Bishop Onesimus and Maama Florence Asiimwe expressed gratitude to their daughter for being a devout follower of God who has continuously shown her parents respect and been an inspiration to many.
Ruth was encouraged by her family friends, Hon. Major Gen. Jim Muhwezi, the Minister of Security, and his wife, Canon Susan Muhwezi, put her faith in God for a happy marriage.
Ruth was advised by Hon. Jim Muhwezi and Canon Suzan not to let the congregation down when they came to see her and her husband Bruce Mugisha demonstrates their devotion.

Col. Edith Nakalema, the commander of the State House Investors Protection Unit, along with her spouse encouraged the recently married pair to embrace the new world and journey they have embarked on, placing complete trust in God and remembering to pray for a prosperous marriage.
Ruth Ariho’s spouse, Brian Mugisha, is born in Kikagate Isingiro district working with Uganda National Roads Authority.
Following her graduation from Makerere University Business School in 2022, Ruth Ariho Asiimwe worked for the Uganda National Roads Authority until landing a position at o compassion international.
She has a bachelor’s degree in human resource management.
The Alliance for Transformation’s president, Gen. Mugisha Muntu, Dr. Kiiza Besigye, all Rukungiri district’s parliamentarians, religious leaders of all stripes, five bishops of the Church of Uganda, particularly those from western Uganda, prominent government figures, Christians, and educators were among the guests who graced the well-organized give-away ceremony.
