The Rukungiri deputy resident district Commissioner Ahimbisibwe Wilberforce Ongom has urged parents to secure the future and success of their children by taking them to school to attain formal education.
DRDC Ongom made the remarks yesterday Monday 2rd December 2024 during the thanksgiving and graduation ceremony of top class pupils at Karegyeya Memorial Nursery and Primary School in Rwamunyu Cell, Masya Parish Nyakagyeme Sub County in Rukungiri district.
While addressing parents, Ahimbisibwe advised them to endeavor to pay school fees and support their children to attain the best education.

“Do your part as a parent to support your children to school because you don’t know what your child will be in future. The only reward you can give your children is good education,” Ongom said.

Nyakagyeme Sub County chairperson LC3 Mr. Godson Mubangyizi commended the school’s director for her excellent initiative in providing an alternative to government schools for parents who dislike them.
Mubangyizi pledged their total support as sub county leadership to the school for the benefit and development of the area.

Shivan Katashaya Karegyeya, the school director, urged parents to continue supporting the school by enrolling their children, explaining that she is not money oriented but rather aims to give back to the community.
Katashaya said that education is a strong tool that society can use to liberate itself at all levels and that parents to should support every child regardless of girls or boys if they want to become prominent people in future.

In 2016, Karegyeya Memorial Nursery and Primary School was founded, offering classes from Primary one to five, though Primary six will also be offered next year.
