Parents and guardians have been urged to feed and provide scholastic materials for their children while at school if better grades are to be attained.
The call was made yesterday by Isaac Kaharuza who is political Assistant of Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi while addressing the congregation during the fundraising at Burembo Primary School in Nyabitete Parish, Bugangari Sub County in Rukungiri district.
The fundraising was meant to renovate two dilapidated classroom block.
Kaharuza urged parents to prioritize the education of their children in a bid to nurture a future generation that is empowered to bring a positive impact to the society.
He revealed that pupils who are hungry and without scholastic materials at school cannot learn properly in class.
Kaharuza urged residents of Nyabitete and Rujumbura at large to elect leaders who have the medicine which is able to deal with their problems.
Minister Jim Muhwezi supported the renovation works at Burembo Primary school with 50 bags of cement and 100 iron sheets.

Nuwagaba Julius, the school head teacher praised Minister Jim Muhwezi who supported them to renovate and enhance the condition of their school.
Nuwagaba said that the structures of the school have been in poor condition, promising to utilize funds and materials raised during the fundraising for the betterment of the school.

Owoyesiga Evelyn the chairperson school management committee narrated that the appearance of their school has been poor thanking Jim Muhwezi for his tremendous support, also pledging their support come 2026 general elections.

Rev. Edson Byekwaso the Parish Priest Burembo Church of Uganda revealed that the school has been performing very well academically, but has been facing a challenge of dilapidated structures praising Minister Muhwezi for honoring the fundraising where something will be done for learners to study in a conducive environment.
