The Rukungiri district Woman Member of Parliament Hon Midius Natukunda Kaharata on Monday donated an assortment of scholastic and sports materials to Kabingo, Kigiiro and Rwakanyegyero Primary schools in Kebisoni Town Council and Sub County respectively to boost their education standards.
The donated items include text books, foot and netballs in addition to buying school uniforms for some pupils in a bid to improve their engagement in both academics and sports.
Hon. Natukunda also donated pens and wished success to Primary Seven candidates from aforementioned schools that are going to sit for their PLE exams early next month.
Speaking while handing over the items to these schools, Hon. Natukunda revealed that she is intending to improve education standards of schools within the district since education is a key to success.
Natukunda encouraged pupils to have ambitions in their journey of studying and always pray to God as this will help them to achieve their goals and have a desirable life.

Atuheire Prudence and Barigye Hosea, the head teachers of beneficiary schools expressed gratitude for the donation from the district Woman member of Parliament, noting that the scholastic materials would be a great benefit to learners who have struggled to afford educational resources due to lack of support from their parents.
These commended Hon. Natukunda Midius Kaharata for donating the items which will encourage children to pursue education.
