Rukungiri’s Makobore High School refurbishment works stand at 80%-RDC Bewayo

The Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Nsubuga Bewayo Stephen together with the leadership of Rukungiri municipality yesterday inspected the progress of renovation works at Makobore High School in Western division Rukungiri municipality.

The RDC was supported by the Rukungiri Municipality town clerk, deputy mayor, municipal education officer, leadership of Makobore High School including the head teacher among others.

The Leadership launched the refurbishment of Makobore High School early this year and the scope of work included renovation of a staffroom block, multipurpose hall, two five stance VIP latrines, head teacher’s office and head teacher’s house at a tune of 1.4 billion shillings.

During the inspection, RDC Bewayo commended the work which is being done by the UPDF engineering brigade and he confirmed that it stands at 80%.

The renovations will be finished in January 2025, according to RDC Bewayo, and when students return, they will discover that all of the structures are operational.

He thanked North Kigezi Diocesan Bishop Onesimus Asiimwe for reviving Makobore High School where enrollment is currently skyrocketing as this supports boy child education.

Arinaitwe Gad the Makobore High School head teacher thanked RDC and municipal leadership for the regular visits to the site saying that this could be the reason why they are producing the quality work.
