In a significant development for the aerospace industry, Malaysian aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul company AIROD Sdn Bhd has secured a $1.5 million project through its collaboration with BAR Aviation Ltd. This project focuses on maintaining L100 aircraft in Uganda.
This marks the second collaboration between the two companies. AIROD announced today that a team of 11 professionals, including two engineers, will execute the project. The operation, set to span 180 days, aims to elevate standards in aviation maintenance services globally.
The Global Line Services (GLS) team, a specialized unit within AIROD, will lead the project. This team is renowned for providing comprehensive field services for Hercules C-130/L100 aircraft worldwide. Their expertise includes aircraft field services, modifications, operating systems demonstrations, malfunction analysis, and technical consultancy.
To date, the GLS team has delivered these services in countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the UAE, Yemen, Jordan, Tunisia, Mali, Botswana, Ecuador, Afghanistan, and Malaysia.
