Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Muhwezi, Minister of Security and Member of Parliament for Rujumbura in Rukungiri yesterday Monday convened a meeting (Baraza) with stakeholders and locals in Rukungiri District.
The gathering at Nyakinengo and Katoma Parishes aimed to discuss development projects and new initiatives, focusing on key areas such as road construction, water provision, electricity and other related services
Attendees included the district officials from the Ministry of energy and National Water and Sewerage Corporation, district engineers, and locals from Nyakinengo and Katoma parishes in Nyakagyeme Sub County Rukungiri district. The discussion centered on the district’s development plans, emphasizing improved access to essential services.
Specific projects mentioned during the meeting included routine, mechanized, and periodic maintenance of roads to enhance access to social services.
Additionally, the construction of new water points, rehabilitation of broken water sources, and construction of sanitation facilities were highlighted.
This meeting also demonstrates the government’s commitment to developing Rujumbura County and improving the lives of its residents.
