The Minister for Security who is also the Rujumbura County area Member of Parliament Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi has commended the church for mobilizing Christians into wealth creation ventures.
Minister Jim Muhwezi made the statement today Wednesday on Christmas day during church service at his home church Kasoroza COU in Nyakagyeme Sub County in Rukungiri district.
Speaking to Christians, Muhwezi noted that in the past, Uganda faced a lot of problems because the Church was only preaching the gospel and forgetting the socio-economic issues affecting the citizens adding he is glad that the church is talking about the socio-economic issues.
“I am very glad that the Church is enforcing what the government has been trying to do by turning you into wealth creators. You shouldn’t be just spectators,” he said.
Minister Jim Muhwezi hailed Christians for supporting efforts to preserve peace in Uganda which is a key issue in development.

The archdeacon of Nyakagyeme Archdeaconry Ven. Ahimbisibwe Eldad Kashanje asked Christians in the New Year to do only acts that glorify God to enable non-Christians join their belief and by this God’s kingdom will be expanded.
