Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi, the Minister for security and Rujumbura County Member of Parliament has encouraged the people of Rukungiri district who are still in opposition political parties to join and support the ruling party because it has the medicine which is able to deal with the problems of Ugandans.
Hon. Jim Muhwezi who is also the chairperson NRM Rukungiri district made the remarks yesterday as he was concluding 4-day community-based monitoring and accountability forum popularly known as Baraza in Nyakagyeme Sub County that commenced on Monday 10th March 2025.
Baraza which was facilitated by Hon. Jim Muhwezi saw technocrats from departments of water, works, and officials from ministry of energy among others discussing the state of affairs in Nyakagyeme Sub County at Parish level.
Addressing residents at Kyabugashe Church of Uganda in Rushasha Parish, Minister Jim Muhwezi told the people that the NRM government came as a force that aims at socially and economically transforming Uganda through provision of services.
Muhwezi assured Ugandans of the government’s commitment to fighting poverty and uplifting them out of subsistence production into the money economy.
He added by advising the people to use the development and peace in Uganda to get out of poverty.

Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi will resume Baraza today Friday in Buhunga Sub County Rukungiri district starting with parishes of Bwanda and Kyaruyenje.
