The Rukungiri Municipality Parliamentary seat hopeful Counsel Isaac Atukunda has today fulfilled his promise by donating 50 bags of cement to Kakonkoma Church of Uganda under Rujumbura Archdeaconry in Southern division Rukungiri municipality.
Counsel Isaac Atukunda made the vow last Sunday during the fundraising towards completion of the Church which is now under construction.
During the handover of 50 bags of cement to church leadership, Team Counsel Isaac, led by Mr. Fred Mucunguzi, represented Counsel Isaac Atukunda.
Other members of the team included the speaker of Rukungiri Municipality Madam Tumusiime Constance, councilor representing Women from Western division at the district Madam Mwesigwa Precious, councilor representing Kagashe Ward at Municipality Innocent Muhwezi among others.
Mucunguzi Fred on the function said that Counsel Isaac is a man of his word, fulfilling his commitments for the good of society.
Counsel Isaac Atukunda, according to Mucunguzi, has supported not just Kakonkoma Church of Uganda but also other churches of all religions and many programs that facilitate people’s access to services in their local communities.
Hon. Mucunguzi requested his assistance in the general elections of 2026, citing Isaac’s ability and awareness of the concerns of people living in Rukungiri Municipality.

Counsel Isaac was commended for keeping his word during fundraising by Mr. John Biziringyi, head of development at Kakonkoma Church of Uganda, who spoke on behalf of Christians while receiving cement.
Mr. John Biziringyi added that the donated bags of cement will assist them in their construction of their church to a higher level.

Some Christians from Kakonkoma Church of Uganda, including Mrs. Sarah Karuhanga and Kinamura Eliab, praised Counsel Isaac Atukunda for helping them build their church since it relieves them of the possibility of having to pay tithes.
