Rukungiri RDC commissions staff quarters at Buyanja Health Centre (III) donated by Rotary of Kyengera

The Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Nsubuga Bewayo Stephen has officially commissioned staff quarters for health workers at Buyanja Health Centre (III).

Under the auspices of the club president and Rubabo County candidate, Hon. Doreen Busingye Muheru, the Rotary Club of Kyengera and Ugandan government funded the four-unit medics staff quarters.

Speaking during the commissioning, RDC Rukungiri Rotarian Nsubuga Bewayo Stephen threatened to deal with those impeding development, particularly the ongoing construction of the Maternity Ward at Rwamahwa HC IV in Rukungiri municipality.

He went on warning leaders attempting to do so that they will not be able to manage while he is still in the area RDC claiming that leaders must work together to see growth in Rukungiri district.

The Rukungiri district chairperson LC5, Geoffrey Kyomukama, praised the contractor’s efforts for completing a respectable job and mentioned that it’s the best facility in the district, providing a healthy working atmosphere for employees.

The President of Rotary Club of Kyengera, Doreen Busingye Muheru, advised leaders to put community development first and teach people how to live sustainably by initiating projects like piggery and participating in government initiatives like Youth Resolving Fund and Parish Development Model.

Doreen further disclosed that she had the idea to advocate for the unit house for healthy workers after seeing that, when visiting Buyanja Healthy Centre III, the sole staff housing available to healthy workers was in a condition of disrepair.

Rukungiri district Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Hajji Masokoyi Wasswa, District health officer, and other district dignitaries were present for the occasion.
