The Rukungiri district Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Midius Natukunda over the weekend threw residents of Bugomora Cell in Nyakishenyi Sub County into endless happiness by donating to them 10,000 capacity water tank.
The contribution is a continued effort by Hon. Natukunda to help Rukungiri residents resolve the water scarcity problem and promote sanitation in the area.
Addressing the residents while handing over the tank, Natukunda said the donation is set to help the residents store water for essential life.
She urged the beneficiaries to look and care for their water tank such that it can help them to solve the long standing problem of water scarcity within their area.

Gideon Tumwesigye the area Councilor and deputy speaker Nyakishenyi Sub County who witnessed the delivery of the water tank by Hon. Midius Natukunda, commended her for considering her people and providing them with a 10,000 water tank as a backup plan to help the locals survive, urging recipients to establish a committee to take care of the donated tank so that it can continue to exist for a long time.

Justus Kabazamu, Twinatsiko Boaz, Mbabazi Stidia and Nuwahereza Loyce some of the beneficiary residents described the donation as timely, adding it would relieve them from trekking long distances in search for clean and safe water.

It should be remembered that the legislator had donated and installed similar tanks at Bwambara Health Center in Bwambara Sub County, Ndere Health Center in Ruhinda Sub County, Rwabarara and Bunono Villages in Nyarushanje Sub County, Kengooma village, Nyakitabire Parish in Ruhinda Sub County and reassured the community that more tanks will be placed in areas where water is scarce.
