News coming in indicates that the Perfect Coach bus was involved in an accident last night.
Sources aboard the Perfect Coach bus with registration number UAZ 326B told our reporter that there was a collision on Mbarara-Masaka Highway this morning at about 2:00 am, just before the Katonga Bridge.
The bus carrying passengers from Rukungiri to Kampala reportedly left around 8:00 p.m. yesterday.
It made a stopover in Mbarara before continuing on to Masaka, when it had a tire puncture.
They said that the driver was speeding and driving carelessly, failing to see the issue that later caused all of the tires to collapse.
The bus then unexpectedly stopped, and the second bus from the same company which was also coming from Kihihi in Kanungu district helped.
After the tires were fixed, they were able to continue with their journey.

Although no passengers were harmed, sources informed our reporter that the bus driver drove recklessly and that he should have spotted it if he had been driving more carefully.
According to them, they all made it through the voyage alive as passengers, having complained to the driver about careless driving.
