Soroti City NRM cadre Anthony Egunyu has declared his intention to seek for the position of area NRM Chairman.
A seasoned politician and longtime NRM Party Carder, Anthony Egunyu entered the race and has maintained the party’s unity with his group of city cadres in the Teso Sub Region.
His political objectives include effectively representing the interests of the general public, defending and upholding the interests and values of the NRM party, enhancing grassroots party member mobilization, spreading awareness of the government’s plan to combat poverty and generate wealth, and promoting the Chairman’s Initiative for an Inclusive, Responsive, and Transparent Government.
He also wants to promote more progress and a better Uganda in eastern region.
Egunyu, who immediately showed interest in the position after registering as an NRM party member, stated that he is ready to face off against other candidates for the same position.
Egunyu asserts that he is the most qualified candidate for the position and that many people find his cool, non-aggressive style of politics appealing.
He aims to eliminate the stereotype that NRM is a party for egos and outcasts, in addition to changing how people perceive the party in a hostile environment.
Egunyu has pledged to uphold and promote the NRM Core Values and to mobilize the voice of the populace, NRM Party members, and the general public.
In order to elect new leaders at all levels, including vice chairpersons for the regions of Northern, Eastern, Central, and Western Uganda, the NRM Party is getting ready for elections.
