In the headlines this evening, a cloud of sorrow hangs over the National Unity Platform (NUP) with the death of the party’s deputy president for Western Region, Kyomugasho Jolly Mugisha, who had been ill for a while.
This tragic news was communicated by party president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu on social media.
According to Bobi Wine, Mrs Jolly Mugisha died from Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, where she had been admitted for some time.
She has been the party deputy president since Bobi Wine’s camp took over the National Unity Platform serving with Mathias Mpuuga for Central Region who was suspended recently, Dr Lina Zedriga of Northern Uganda and opposition Chief Whip also Manjiya county legislator John Baptist Nambeshe who is the party’s deputy president for Eastern Uganda.
