Counsel Eliab Naturinda Mporera has advised the public living around Lake Bunyonyi to obtain land titles to fully benefit from their property.
Naturinda, an aspiring Member of Parliament for Ndorwa West in Kabale District, made this call during his visit to the constituency on Monday this week.
He addressed the public at Mungo, Murambo, and Kyenvu Churches of Uganda, as well as at Kayanga Hiika and St. Joseph Nyamurinda Hiika Catholic Churches, all located in Butanda Sub-county and around Lake Bunyonyi.
In his address, Naturinda highlighted the value of land in these areas, noting that it holds significant potential for development and tourism, which can bring numerous benefits to the community.
He urged the residents to begin processing land titles to protect their property from land grabbers and to secure their land for future benefits.
Naturinda recommended that residents visit the sub-county land board for assistance with the land title application process.
