Kanungu Woman MP hopeful Namara Betty Mutabazi donates hybrid piglets to Nyekundire Groups 

Two “Nyekundire” groups in Kambuga Town Council Kanungu district have received hybrid piglets from Hon. Namara Betty Mutabazi who eyes for area Woman Parliamentary seat.

According to Betty, each group received five hybrid piglets, and it will be distributed to every group member on a revolving strategy every year.

She disclosed that the donation is meant to support Kanungu residents in their struggle to eradicate poverty at household level since they breed faster.

“This donation of piglets will directly empower you as local residents to boost your participation in wealth creation” Namara Betty told residents.

Hon. Namara Betty urged Kanungu district residents to establish groups and apply for government grants and programs, stating that doing so is simpler because the group acts as security.

According to Namara, they began the 350-piglet distribution with Kinkizi East, giving 10 piglets to each Sub County.

As team Namara Betty, they plan to continue this donation to Kinkizi West so that everyone in Kanungu district can benefit from the project.

  • However, Hon. Betty asked people of Kanungu district to support her in upcoming elections so that she can keep influencing the government and advance their district.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Nabukenya Mary, Nuwagaba Ronald, and Atuheire Beatrice, thanked Namara Betty Mutabazi for the donation, stating that it will increase their household income.

They said that the coming of Namara is a blessing because none of the previous leaders had ever backed them in their efforts to end poverty, and they vowed to back her in the general elections of 2026 so that she could represent them in Parliament as a woman MP.
