The Minister of Science Technology and innovation Dr. Monic Musenero yesterday 25th May 2025 expressed her appreciation for the ongoing work at Inspire Africa Coffee Park, pledging continued government support for the project.
This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to add value to Uganda’s coffee through processing and manufacturing ultimately increasing revenue from coffee exports.

Minister Musenero emphasized that Uganda is not typically known for value addition but it’s time to change that narrative.
The country aims to introduce itself as a hub for value addition, with a focus on initiatives like the coffee park and experience.
This concept is being fast-tracked to showcase Uganda’s potential in adding value to its products, particularly in the coffee industry.
Minister Musenero urged all Ugandans to participate in the upcoming Coffee Marathon, scheduled to take place on May 24th, 2025, at the Inspire Africa Coffee Park in Rwashamire, Ntungamo District.
Mr. Tugume Nelson, CEO of Inspire Africa Coffee, expressed his gratitude to Hon Minister Dr.Monica Musenero for visiting the Coffee Park to witness the progress made.
He acknowledged her role in initiating the project and appreciated her efforts to showcase the factory’s operations to the Ugandans.
Nelson also made an impassioned appeal to Ugandans, encouraging them to participate in the upcoming Coffee Marathon. He emphasized the importance of supporting the women who have been working tirelessly to uplift themselves from poverty through coffee farming.
