Museveni appoints Ayeranga Micheal Christopher as Senior Presidential Advisor

Ayeranga Michael Christopher has been appointed by President Yoweri Museveni as the Senior Presidential Advisor for Bunyoro Area Mobilization.

The nomination is further evidence of the President’s on-going efforts to forge political alliances and spur development in the strategically important Bunyoro region.

In a letter dated September 23, 2024, Museveni officially announced Ayeranga’s new role, stating, “By the copy of this letter, I direct the State House Controller and Lawyer Kyichooncho to generate the necessary instruments for my signature, appointing you as Special Presidential Assistant for Mobilisation in the Bunyoro Region.”

Ayeranga was appointed after he indicated in a letter dated August 30, 2024, that he would be interested in and capable of assuming the post of mobilizer.

The fact that Museveni chose to promote Ayeranga to this esteemed advisory role demonstrates both the significance of Bunyoro in Ugandan politics and Ayeranga’s capacity to further the government’s objectives in the area.

Six million Ugandan shillings a month is a considerable remuneration for the post, which emphasizes how important the mobilization efforts in the area are.

In closing remarks of the appointment letter, which was also copied to State House Controller and Commissioner Legal, Kyichooncho Flora, Museveni expressed his congratulations to Ayeranga on his new position.
