NHDA donates another hand pump borehole to Rukungiri’s Nyakahanga residents

Residents of Nyakahanga village in Kazindiro Parish Bugangari Sub County Rukungiri district have received a hand pump borehole from the non-governmental organization Nile Humanitarian Development Agency.

The church and St. Paul’s Kazindiro Primary and Secondary Schools, who have struggled to find water sources, would particularly benefit from this well.

During the project’s official handover to the community, Mr. Isaac Kaharuza, who was representing Hon. Jim Muhwezi, the Member of Parliament for Rujumbura County and the person who lobbied it from Nile Humanitarian Development Agency, stated that the project was being undertaken to address the issue of water scarcity, which is a significant challenge in the area.

Hon. Jim Muhwezi, according to Kaharuza, is not keeping quiet about the problems caused by lack of water in the Bugangari and Bwambara Sub Counties; rather, he is collaborating closely with the National Water and Sewerage Corporation and other organizations to ensure that people have access to clean, safe water.
