Residents of the Kyabarungira Sub County in Kasese district have demanded an audit into the actions of a few members of the Parish Development Model executive committee, claiming that they were too bureaucratic due to self-serving motives.
At a community meeting held over the weekend in the Kirabaho-Kabatunda town council in Kasese district, Ms. Piridasi Bagonza, along with other locals, demanded that the Kasese Chief Administrative Officer step in to stop certain PDM executive committee members they claim are dishonest and undermining PDM.

The Kasese Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Eliab Ntaretwe Begumya, first promised to deal with any official who would not return any bribe within a week, and then he threatened to shake up the PDM leadership in the area.
Additionally, he declared that he will use an intelligence-led strategy to hold PDM’s corrupt local officials accountable.
