As third term officially ends tomorrow Friday, the Rukungiri Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Nsubuga Bewayo Stephen has cautioned students against unnecessary excitement that may land some of them into sexual acts which could ruin their lives.
RDC Bewayo made the remarks today morning while passing out 340 students from Kinyasano Girls High School in Western division Rukungiri municipality after undergoing intensive training on patriotism.
Speaking at the ceremony, RDC Bewayo advised the students to refrain until their time comes because third terms are always lengthy and some of them are tried and seduced into sexual behaviors that could have an impact on their future.
RDC Nsubuga who was the chief guest during the function added that patriotism is one way of trying to shape a person to be a good citizen and further appealed to the students to also love East Africa and Africa at large to be able to benefit from the continent.
Nsubuga nevertheless advised those with bad perception towards patriotism to style up especially those who say patriotism is for President Museveni and NRM party saying its only through Patriotism that a person can develop love for oneself.

The assistant resident district commissioner for Rukungiri, Kagisha Kallen, urged students to avoid being duped by social media, particularly during this extended break, since it may have an impact on their academic performance.
Kagisha urged students to value themselves, read their books diligently, and love themselves because these are the only ways they may fulfill their aspirations.

At the same function, the coordinator for Patriotism in Rukungiri district, Mr. Bashasha Vital, said the training given to children ranging from physical exercises to academic work will shape their mindset and lead them to success.
Bashasha disclosed that the training focused on imparting life skills, basic Kiswahili understanding, patriotism core values, nation building, saving culture, and discipline.
Mrs. Kiyasiimire Allen the headteacher of Kinyasano Girls High School thanked President Museveni for championing the program.
Kiyasiimire said that the patriotism training acquired by students will help them behave well and improve their academic performance.

Akankunda Clair, Gumoshabe Sonia, and Arinda Prian some of the patriots commended President Museveni for initiating the patriotism clubs in the country, adding that the training will contribute to their wellbeing and shape them into important persons in their communities.
