The territorial police in Rukiga have arrested a Rwandese national allegedly for carnal knowledge of his 6-years own biological daughter.
Fosta Twizemana a herdsman at Kayebe cell, Kigara parish Kamwezi Sub County Rukiga district, is alleged to have committed the offense on the 26th July 2024 from the farm where he was grazing cattle.
According to ASP. Elly Maate the Kigezi Region police spokesperson, it’s alleged that Fosta went to the farm with the wife one Veneranda Baresirente, 40 years and their two daughters aged 2 and 6 years.
While at the farm, because he was at the extreme end, he called the children from their mother digging, on arrival he sent away the 2 years old hence had sex with the 6 years victim.
After the act, sent her back to the mother, but on arrival she was noticed seated alone.
Maate said that the mother then instructed her to go home, but when she set off to move, the mother noticed her movement with difficulty which made her check and found blood stains on her thighs.
When asked what had happened and by who, that’s when she revealed to have been refilled by her father.
Elly Maate added that the mother rushed to Kamwezi police station and reported the incident and the suspect was accordingly arrested and transferred to CPS Rukiga for further management.
“This is being barbaric and uncultured, how do you defile your minor of that age that needs your parental protection.” Maate said.
Elly Maate however, said upon completion of inquiries, the suspect will be arraigned before courts of law to answer charges accordingly.
