Six pupils have been injured in a serious car accident that occurred this morning, August 23, 2024, at Nkumba Traffic Light on Entebbe road.
The vehicles involved in the accident were UBA 839S Isuzu Bus and UG 2402C Toyota Double Cabin.
The Isuzu Bus, transporting Trust Infant Primary School pupils from Nakaseke on an excursion to Entebbe Zoo, failed to brake as it approached the Nkumba traffic lights from Kampala side.
It crashed into the Toyota Double Cabin from behind, forcing the bus to overturn and injuring six pupils.
The victims have been rushed to Sub Medical Centre Nkumba for medical attention.
The driver of the Isuzu Bus is currently at large, and a police hunt is underway.
SP Micheal Kananura the traffic police spokesperson said, Both vehicles have been towed to Nkumba Police Station for further investigation.
