Hon. Ankunda Andrew Kikira who eyes for Rukungiri Municipality Parliamentary seat has called upon society to respect all women and empower them instead of belittling them.
Hon. Ankunda made the remarks today Sunday 23rd March 2025 while addressing Christians of All Saints Church Rukungiri as the chief guest during the celebrations of Mary’s Day by mothers’ Union fellowship.
In his remarks during the morning service, Hon. Ankunda disclosed that Women should be valued because they are the backbone and lifeblood of the world.
As a hopeful Rukungiri Municipality area Member of Parliament, Hon. Ankunda Andrew told Christians that he manifests on prioritizing generating homestead income, emphasizing that other developments will follow.
Ankunda assured the people of Rukungiri Municipality that poverty eradication is achievable if the public is sensitized and supported by leaders in addition to embracing government programs designed to improve livelihoods, urging them to support him in the forthcoming elections if these are to be achieved.
He however, supported All Saints Mothers Union Fellowship with 2M shillings as they raise funds to complete their commercial building.

Mrs. Kiyasimire Allen the head teacher Kinyasano Girls High School who was the guest preacher urged women to cherish their marriages, guard them with unwavering dedication, and remain steadfast in their roles as supportive and dependable wives.
Kiyasimire reminded Christian women that true marital harmony comes from honoring their spouses and balancing their careers with their responsibilities at home.
“Marriage is a journey of selflessness, perseverance, and unity. As wives, you must understand that you and your husband come from different backgrounds. It takes patience, tolerance, and daily effort to build a strong foundation.” Kiyasimire said.
Justine Kamugisha, All Saints Church Mothers Union Member said that the reason they observe this day is to honor what Jesus’ mother did and endured.
