The Rukungiri Municipality hopeful Member of Parliament Ankunda Andrew Kikira has implored Christians to always return thanks to God in an attempt to attract blessings from him.
Hon. Ankunda made the call yesterday during the thanksgiving organized by the family of Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Kabumburi in Kafunjo Marumba, Southern Division in Rukungiri municipality.
Speaking as the guest of honor during the function, Ankunda says that most people tend to forget to return thanks to God after becoming successful in life, a practice he adds that does not please God.
He explains that giving back to God does not mean having material wealth but surrendering their lives to the Almighty God and working for him for their blessings to be multiplied.
“God has given us the greatest gift of all, which is life; therefore, all the wealth we have belongs to Him. It is for that reason that we should endeavor to give back to Him through supporting church projects financially, morally and spiritually,” said Ankunda Kikira.
Hon. Ankunda Andrew Kikira went on to advise Christians to engage in several income generating activities aimed at creating wealth and improving their well-being.

Ankunda said that Christians can also embrace government programs aimed at tackling household poverty like Parish Development Model (PDM) which is designed to uplift households and enable them to achieve financial independence.
