FDC National Council set to sit next week to approve election Road Map

The Najjanakumbi Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) has announced that its National Council will sit next week to approve the FDC Election Road Map and choose the date of the delegate conference.

Party spokesman John Kikonyogo told journalists yesterday at the party headquarters that the delegates’ conference this coming week is unique because it will decide their candidate for president in general elections.

He said that, in anticipation of the general elections come 2026, the party has further decided to begin canvassing constituencies.

“After concluding four regions and sub-regions, we have now resolved to move to constituencies as we identify candidates and energize them,” Kikonyogo said.

Kikonyongo asserts that because the Electoral Commission recognized them as a party with complete leadership, they should not be referred to as a Najjanakumbi faction.

He claims that calling them a Najjanakumbi group distorts their authority, despite the fact that they are the legitimately acknowledged FDC party.

Following the Electoral Commission’s denial to validate the Katonga Faction party’s new name and colors, he made this accusation.

“We have certified copies of our leaders from the Electoral Commission, and no one should refer to us as the Najjanakumbi faction anymore”.

He said that it took them time to make FDC; however, some selfish people want to bring the original party down.

Thus, the claim comes at a time when most of the party founders deserted the party over disagreements in party leadership,
