The aspiring Rukungiri Municipality area Member of Parliament Counsel Isaac Atukunda has urged the youth to remain focused on achieving their life goals to succeed.
Counsel Isaac stated that many youths are misguided, thus losing track of their desired objectives.
Atukunda advised the youth that they can be anything they wish to be in life only that they need to be relevant in their areas and for those in school, focus on education and no one should misguide them in their aspirations.
He made the remarks yesterday while interacting with over 60 senior six leavers from Rukungiri municipality during the career guidance he organized under his initiative of “Atukunda Education Trust” which supports vulnerable children to access education at Sena Grand Hotel in Rukungiri town.
“You can be whatever you want if you believe in yourself and are focused on what you aim to achieve. Set your goals and have a vision.” Atukunda said.
Atukunda advised the youth of Rukungiri Municipality in particular and Uganda in general to avoid bad peer groups that can lead them into engaging in bad behavior that will destroy their future.
Counsel Isaac Atukunda however, called on youths to actively participate in governance and the community affairs in the country.
Atukunda requested them to be his ambassadors ahead of elections since he seeks Rukungiri Municipality Parliamentary seat.
He urged people of Rukungiri Municipality to shun politicians keen on buying votes as their way into political offices if they are to get better services after election season.

According to Asimire Calorine, one of Counsel Isaac’s students’ coordinator, the session was beneficial to them because it was given by a variety of experienced individuals who gave them advice on how to proceed as senior six leavers, pledging to support him when time for elections comes.
