Chelangat Abel and Emily Chebet have crowned male and female winners of the third edition of the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori international Marathon that took place in the desirable town of Kasese today Saturday, 24th August 2024.
The duo are champions of 42 km men’s and women’s categories and each won prize money of UGX 10 Million.
They received their gold medals from Peter Ogwang the Minister of State for Sports in Ugandan.
Speaking during the function, Hon. Minister Ogwang Peter assured to support the athletes from Rwenzori in the next marathon to collect medals.
