RUKUNGIRI: All is set for “JIM CUP” finals slated tomorrow in Bugangari Sub County

RUKUNGIRI- All roads will lead to Bugangari playground tomorrow Saturday 15th March 2025 as Deputy Speaker of Parliament as well as hundreds of fans are expected to turn up for Jim Cup Football Tournament finals.

The 2024 Jim Cup Finals will see Bwambara Sub County facing Nyakagyeme Sub County in what is expected to be a very competitive match for males and also for females, Rwerere town council encounter Ruhinda Sub County.

The Jim Cup football Tournament is organized and facilitated by Hon. Maj. Gen. Jim Katugugu Muhwezi, the Security Minister and Member of Parliament for Rujumbura County every year to unite and develop talents among youths.

According to Ahimbisibwe Dan Bahamire the coordinator of Jim Cup in Rujumbura County, the day will be spiced up with performances from different artists including Eddy Kenzo, Ray G, Ronald Mayinja, Gravity Omutujju, Rasta Charz, Lady Mariam Tindatine and Moses Bonde among others.

He urged people from Sub Counties of Buhunga, Ruhinda, Nyakagyeme, Bugangari, Bwambara, Rwerere and Bikurungu to come and give their support to the competing teams for the day to be successful.

Ahimbisibwe also invited people from other Sub Counties in Rukungiri and neighboring districts not to miss the Jim Cup football tournament since it will be fantastic.

He called for discipline and punctuality amongst all fans, players, and officials who will turn up on Saturday.

Kenneth Nuwagaba, the team coach for Bwambara Sub County told our reporter that they have fine-tuned their players and is confident that all his departments in defense, midfield, goal keeping, and striking line are all in good shape.

Team Coach for Nyakagyeme Sub County also told our reporter that he feels to have the best team that will be ready to go all the way to the finals and win it because the players are in a high mood.
